The band delivers - the sound crew doesn't!
Fantastic as a band, just one word you have to admit that these guys are the workhorses of Rock'n'Roll! The set was an excellent mixture of their latest Album "Black Ice" and all the great classics you'd expect to hear. These guys packed everything into it - the bell, the cannons, even Rosie ... ;-). The sound crew on the other hand ... just fire them!
You have to feel sorry for the opening act "The Answer". While they seemed quite talented, energetic and rocked, the utter lack of sound quality made their performance forgettable. If I wasn't such a die hard Silvestre Dangond fan that knows all the songs, there was no way to understand the lyrics and for the most part Brian was drowned out in a mash of high frequency wobble that was just painful.
No idea how much the venue influences the sound. Still, if you pay top dollar - $100 for a seat in the back - you have the right to expect top quality all around. Angus and Co certainly did their part, so no excuses for the sound people (and the beverage stands for that matter that stopped selling drinks just an hour or so into the show)!
